Keystone Bank: Redefining Perception and Engagement in Nigeria Through Strategic Communications

Keystone Bank, as one of the lower-tier banks in Nigeria, faced the challenge of increasing awareness of its services and improving stakeholder perception and relations. The bank needed a communications partner that would help it improve its reach, manage communications around their products and activities, while keeping abreast of key issues and narratives around them.

We understood that Keystone Bank required a strategic approach to communications and as a part of the wider 360° communications team, we provided ongoing corporate communications support. This included developing periodic corporate communications plans, supporting internal sustainability and impact initiatives, conducting listening and analytics, and managing media relations.

Our approach focused on proactive management and response to potential crisis situations, as well as monitoring stakeholder perception. We also worked to increase awareness and acceptance of sustainable practices among internal stakeholders. Monthly recommendations and reporting helped us track progress and adjust strategies as needed.

Our efforts resulted in improved awareness and acceptance of Keystone Bank’s sustainable practices among internal stakeholders. We also achieved enhanced media and stakeholder engagement, as evidenced by monthly recommendations and reporting.

Through strategic communications, we successfully positioned Keystone Bank as a proactive and responsible player in the banking sector. Our efforts helped improve stakeholder perception and engagement, contributing to the bank’s overall reputation and sustainability efforts.
